THE PHARAOH’S VIZIER
In ancient Egyptian society, the Vizier was the highest ranking and most trusted of nobles. As chief government official and chancellor appointed by the Pharaoh himself, the Vizier ruled over the individual regions of Egypt with great power and authority.
Since founding Ankh Wines in 2007, Mark El-Tawil and Scott Ptacek have been leading the pursuit of exceptional quality, balance, and value. But Ankhs hold great value to many, and there are those who might try to steal these oenological treasures, so two fierce and powerful guard dogs are employed by the winery as well.

Scott Ptacek
A healthcare and marketing professional for over 25 years, and an avid wine enthusiast today, Scott has found great pleasure in combining these passions with Ankh Wines. A co-founder of Ankh Wines, Scott now lives in Miami with his wife, Monika, their son, and the fierce Ankh Wines guard dog, Belvedere.

Mark El-Tawil
A healthcare executive for over 30 years, Mark is co-founder of Ankh Wines. He is also co-parent to Ruby, the Ankh Wines guard dog. Mark and his wife, Lisa, who shares his love for wine with him, also have three adult children.

Ruby
While still the youngest protector of Ankh Treasures, Ruby, a labradoodle living with Mark and Lisa in Gilbert, AZ, seemingly prefers naps to guard-dogging these days. While she tries to stay cool in the Arizona desert, we are reasonably optimistic that she could spring into action should she be needed to save our precious Ankh from those who would try to steal it.

Belvedere
Belvedere is a 12 year-old Border Terrier living in tropical Miami. Once a fierce warrior, he would fearlessly confront trespassers until they pet him and then would bring them a ball to distract any would-be thieves from getting their hands on the Ankh. But today Belvedere nears retirement, and spends his days sleeping in the Miami sun
